In an effort to encourage more people to register as organ/tissue donors, April has been designated as Donate Life Month. More than 3,000 Massachusetts residents are waiting for life-saving organ transplants. If you can't get enough of death and chocolate, get a ticket for our club's Death by Chocolate murder mystery event (www.deathbychoc.org) and then get a ticket for the Marlborough Rotary Club's Death by Wine and Chocolate to raise funds for their scholarships (http://www.marlboroughrotary.org/229/229).

WCVB TV Anchor Ed Harding, the master of Ceremonies for last year’s Employment Options Celebrity Roast will now take the hot seat himself at the next Employment Options Celebrity Roast. The next Roast is slated for Thursday, June 9.

Ed Harding a veteran journalist in Boston will take a barbing from what is expected to be a head table of Boston-area celebrities and news personalities in this second year event. The evening will once again be filled with a variety of humorous videos that will surely leave people laughing long after the event is over.

Students, teachers, educators, and community partners are invited to a day of sharing strategies to implement, improve, and institutionalize service-learning practice in Massachusetts’ schools. This year’s conference theme is “Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities.”  Workshops, the plenary, the showcase, and our service project will highlight, among other things, service-learning as a strategy for engaging young people in anti-bullying efforts and environmental sustainability.

This year's annual Service-Learning Conference sponsored by the Massachusetts Service Alliance will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 8:00am - 3:30pm. The conference is at the Hogan Center, College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
