Serve your country (volunteering - final installment)

The final reason we will explore here for volunteering/joining the Marlborough Juniors is to satisfy your desire to serve your country.

Perhaps in the same way people might join a church, joining a volunteer organization facilitates the putting into practice of our values. While the members of the Marlborough Junior Woman's Club hold a wide range of political and religious beliefs, what we all have in common is "a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service." This can entail fundraising for worthy causes, hands-on service work (i.e. preparing meals for the homeless), beautifying our community, or raising awareness of important issues.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Applebriar in Marlborough at 7:30pm. If you are a new or interested member who would like to attend or need more information, email join@marlboroughjuniors.org.
