The Library of Congress' Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.Veterans submit written memoirs or can arranged to be interviewed. The Library of Congress is also collecting photographs, diaries, etc. Even if you are not a veteran, you can arrange to interview a veteran for the project. To learn more about contributing to the project, or to search the first-hand narratives of veterans and civilians who supported the war, visit the website: www.loc.gov/vets
