Volunteer Orientation Sessions for Furnishing Options

Our Saturday volunteering at Furnishing Options was a blast! As usual, we had some laughs, met some great volunteers and customers. We applied our organizational and cleaning skills, and tried our hand at assembling a wall unit. If you are thinking about volunteering at Furnishing Options:

Furnishing Options Volunteer Orientation sessions: 
Thursday, April 29th from 6:30 -7:30 PM, and
Saturday, May 15th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM
 
The meetings will be held at the Furnishing Options “store” at 66 Mechanic St.  (in the New Frye Building at the corner of Lincoln St.).   Light refreshments will be served. 
 
These meetings are an opportunity to learn more about how Furnishing Options operates, as well as specific information about each volunteer role. 
·        If you’ve started to volunteer and would like more info, this meeting is for you!
·        If you want to “try out” our program, this meeting is for you! 
·        If you’re ready to start volunteering, this meeting is for you!
·        And … if you’re ready to jump in and don’t want to wait for formal training, please contact me and we will get you going!

P.S.  Parking is available behind the building. Don’t worry about being towed, just walk up the stairs to the far right facing the back of the building to enter through the back (please note there are stairs down to the store at this entrance).  Also, municipal parking is available between the church located at 339 Mechanic Street and The Diner at 453 Lincoln Street.  There is also a municipal lot at the intersection of Pleasant and Lincoln Streets, adjacent to the old Armory Building, across the street from The Diner.
