The
Worcester Animal Rescue League is hosting the annual “Paws in Motion”
Walk for the Animals on October 24th, 2009. Canine companions are
welcomed to join on the mile walk starting at WARL to Indian Lake and
back to WARL. Costumes for both are enco...uraged!
Registration:
Please register by October 5th by contacting Allie at 508-853-0030 or
AllieWARL@gmail.com. There will be a $10 registration fee for human
walkers. Walkers collecting pledges over $45 receive a WARL short
sleeved t-shirt. Walkers collecting pledges over $65 receive a WARL
long sleeved shirt. All canine walkers receive a complimentary doggy
bag!
Contests: With a $1 entry fee per contest, include yourself
and your dog in any of these contests and win a prize! Best Walker
& Companion Costumes, Best Canine Costume, Best Human Costume, and
Most Impressive Trick.
Rules: All dogs must have a current
Rabies vaccine. Please leave cats and aggressive dogs at home. No
females in heat. Leashes must be shorter than 6 feet. No flexi-leads
allowed. Family-friendly costumes only. Thank you!
Sponsorship:
Pledges will be collected on the day of the walk at the registration
table. If you did not recieve a mailing, please call for sponsor sheets
and envelopes! For credit card pledges, call WARL with card information
prior to walk. Our goal is $100 per walker! All donations are tax
deductible.
100% of profits benefit the Worcester Animal Rescue League. WARL is a no kill, 501©3 non-profit animal shelter.
