Fun movies for families with sensory disabilities

This is one of the best ideas I've come across recently: Sensory Friendly Films

The Autism Society is collaborating with AMC Entertainment to present movies in an atmosphere conducive to families with members who experience autism and other disabilities. There won't be any ads or previews, and the lights will be slightly dimmed. Families are welcome to bring in their own gluten-free (etc) snacks. The audience members are welcome to walk around, and the "Silence is Golden" policy is suspended.  Sensory Friendly Films will present “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” at AMC Framingham 15 movie theater, 22 Flutie Pass, Sept 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $6. Up-coming features include Where the Wild Things Are, A Christmas Carol, Planet 51.  For more information and participating theaters: www.autism-society.org/sensoryfilms.
